Ken McCutchen Vaun and Liz Powell are hosting a benefit concert in memory of Ron Beakley, a recent patient who came to Hospice through Caminando Juntos and then Transitions. The program “Liz, Ken and Friends,” is a memorial concert to honor Beakley, a musical partner with Stone and Vaun in the trio “Los Logros,” renowned for their St. Valentine’s Day concerts at Teatro Ángela Peralta for the past two years.

Vaun will sing North American love songs. Clarinetist Jerry Sherman will play Mozart’s Concerto for Clarinet, accompanied by Stone. San Miguel’s distinguished guitarist Severo Barrera also will contribute to the program. 

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to Hospice San Miguel. This is the first time Hospice has had a deceased patient’s friends make such a large effort to support and thank Hospice. The concert is free, with a free-will collection for Hospice.
