Lessons lie in our archetypes

Have you wandered through the pages of Atención wondering why you aren’t doing more, contributing more, getting involved in activities you always meant to get involved in? Maybe you’re frustrated by the sense you could do more with your life but are procrastinating and don’t know why? Have you wondered what you were “supposed” to be doing?

Discovering and learning how to work with your archetypes can help you find your purpose and make sense of your life. Archetypes are ancient personifications of deeply ingrained patterns and aspects of our character influencing our lives in powerful ways. They have been with us since birth, determining our individuality and personality.

Each archetype we carry has a lesson and challenge for us and is inextricably bound up in our life’s purpose. Our archetypes operate as counselors, guides and soul mates—dispensing wisdom, intuitive advice and helping with life decisions.

In this introduction, find out more about your archetypes and kick-start your life and goals into action. Maybe you are a Seeker, Teacher, Spiritual Nomad or an Eternal Student. You may have a Victim and Saboteur lurking, maybe even a Rebel causing havoc in your life. Or perhaps you have a royal archetype, such as a Queen, King or Princess, which would explain that sense of entitlement. Are you a Damsel waiting for your Knight to rescue you? Where is he? Come and find out!

This talk is an introduction to a two-day workshop, Discover Your Archetypes, based on the work of Caroline Myss and her bestselling book, Sacred Contracts. The workshop meets in the Clubhouse at Villas de Allende October 1–2, Thursday and Friday, 1–5:30pm. Cost is 1000 pesos. In this practical and visionary workshop, you will d discover your individual archetypes and learn how to work with them to heal the past, find your path and manifest the life you want.

Chic Katherman and Margaret Nash lead the lecture and workshop. Katherman is a teacher, holistic healer, Reiki master and a certified Reiki instructor for Health Care Professionals providing CEUs for completing the course. Nash is a professional trainer in personal development and worked for years in Europe and the UK delivering workshops. She currently works here as a therapist.
