Stellar yoga documentary
By Marcela Andre
Film Presentation

Winner of the 2009 Videographer Award of Excellence, the highest honor in the documentary category, Living Yoga: The Life and Teachings of Swami Satchidananda is like nothing else you have ever seen.

Living Yoga is a work of art, science and love, with a who’s who of stellar names in medicine and show business, animal advocates, and an ecumenical cast of luminaries speaking about the bigger image of just what is Yoga. Don’t miss the amazing George Hausman and Robert Altman portraiture in the film. (Sample the look from the early days of Yoga at www.altmanphoto.com .)

You’ll see shots of fabulous views of the Himalayas to New York City, footage taken from helicopter at the Woodstock 1969 festival, with more current Larry King in the samplers.

All of this will bring you up to speed on just how the practice and instruction of Yoga came to be so accessible. Dr. Dean Ornish and Dr. Emmet Oz, musicians, and artist Peter Max present important aspects of Yoga in their professional and personal perspectives. The Yoga teachings of Integral Yoga place an emphasis on personal and world peace, interfaith understanding, physical and emotional health and service.

The premiere of Living Yoga, The Life and Teachings of Swami Satchidananda in Mexico took place at the Teatro Santa Ana a couple of months ago. Now you have the chance again to see this film presented by the national representative for Swami Satchidananda, Marcela Andre. Andre teaches Integral Yoga at Yoga Planet Jewels on Calle de San Francisco 7 in San Miguel de Allende.
