Alice Murphy was a friend to all and will be sadly missed. She was especially kind to street dogs and no dog in Los Frailes ever went hungry when Alice was around.
More than once she helped out neighbors who had to leave their pets and often went so far as to pay for surgery for other people's dogs, despite having ten of her own to care for.
If anyone would be able to adopt one of Alice’s San Miguel specials, one of whom is not unlike a Labrador and another part German Shepherd,please call me at 152 8593, after 6pm.

Donald W Miles’ unbelievable letter to you in the April 11 edition has caused complete amazement and disgust amongst many Mexicans and foreign residents to whom I have spoken in the 24 hours since the paper came out.
A list of 23 cafes who serve excellent coffee within a short walking distance of the Jardín and several in the Jardín itself has recently been compiled [see list if possible to print]. In fact it is often difficult to choose where to have coffee in the centre since there are so many good cafes. I myself (in the seven years of living here) have not always experienced fast service but then again getting out of the fast lane may be the reason I moved here.
Is Mr Miles a stockholder in Starbuck’s? Does he actually live in San Miguel? An affirmative to either of these questions would explain the fact that he knows nothing about the café scene here and has no business criticising it in such a clumsy manner.
