The Way of Sorrows in Atotonilco

Via Crucis in Atotonilco
Reenacting the Via Crucis is a Good Friday tradition in many parts of Mexico, a prayerful meditation on Christ’s suffering and death. |
The Shrine of Atotonilco has its own representation of the Via Crucis that has been performed for 25 years. About 30 residents of Atotonilco and nearby communities take part, most of them young people who have found in the activity a way of recreation and approach to religion.
