14th Jazz and Blues Fest bigger than ever

The International Jazz and Blues Festival celebrates its 14th season in San Miguel de Allende from November 28 to December 4. A group of jazz lovers, headed by Elena Shoemaker, launched the Festival in 1994. It has grown into a major annual event, attracting national and international musicians, music lovers, students, teachers and visitors.

San Miguel artist Michael Wiebach installed a multimedia spectacle at the Mexico City airport. More than four million travelers are expected to pause for the 13 paintings and 6 audio-video sets.

Sorrow, sensuality and humor: Betsy Pecanin’s Mexican blues blend in ranchero and bolero. On December, she returns to San Miguel for the Jazz and Blues Festival.
