Expresión en Corto in San Miguel: Identity flickers briefly on the screen

Today San Miguel opens the world’s most important international short film festival, Expresión en Corto. The festival continues in San Miguel through July 22 then moves to Guanajuato from July 23 to 27.

According to Sarah Hoch, the festival’s director, “identity” is the theme of this year’s festival. Guest personalities, conferences, screenings and exhibits all explore this concept. This year the festival received 1,750 film submissions from 82 countries, from which 160 were selected.
