Immigration Conference

The legalities of living, doing business and even driving in Mexico can be confusing. A special presentation by government authorities will address some of the many questions. They will explain requisites and regulations on immigration, taxes and car registrations in a conference scheduled for Thursday, March 6, 10am–noon, in Teatro Santa Ana at the Biblioteca Pública. Special presenter will be the delegado Alejandro Salas.

The event is a collaborative effort with Fabiola Garcia of city International Relations, the Biblioteca Pública and Atención.

Field of dreams: Soccer matches organized to deter gangs

Gangs based in some neighborhoods within the city threaten public security and pose a challenge for local law enforcement. 

Vandalism, street fights, throwing rocks at police cars, defacing property and consuming alcohol and drugs in the street are among the gang-related activities the local government hopes to curtail.
