Important architecture award given to a native son

In October 2007, the San Miguel architect José Luis González Vázquez won the Golden Profile Award, the highest recognition given at the Regional Biennial of Architecture in which architects from Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, Querétaro, Michoacán, San Luis Potosí and Guanajuato participated.

González won the award for his work on Hotel Casa de Aves, located in the rural community of Puerto de Nieto near Atotonilco, on the road from San Miguel to Dolores Hidalgo.
