Fiestas Patrias a month of celebrations

September is the most Mexican of months with almost every city street and every home adorned with the patriotic colors of the Mexican flag—(M)green, white and red. |
Flags and banners appear for sale on every corner of the historic center and traffic intersection. Patriotic fervor takes the form of decorations in store windows, balcony dressings and of course feasting, drinking, fireworks and bell ringing at the least provocation.
