The new stage of the Libramiento third lane begins

The construction work for the second stage of the third lane of Libramiento Manuel Zavala began on Thursday, August 1. During the past weeks—(M)especially Tuesday, July 24, access to downtown was chaotic due to the paving maintenance works in the Libramiento and in Salida a Querétaro. 

Samuel Mercadillo, head of the Transit Department, said that work on Libramiento was part of a pavement maintenance program of the federal highway section of the Transport and Communication Federal Department. “The streets in San Miguel have a very heavy car load, particularly on Tuesdays because of the placita, but it was very important to do maintenance on the Salida a Querétaro, since it is the most important connection to downtown and there were so many complaints from the neighbors about the bad state of its pavement,” said Mercadillo.
