To everyone who attended last week’s House & Garden Tour on November first I apologize profusely for not being able to show the second house slated for the tour. The bicycle race that occurred that day was an inopportune surprise. On rare occasions we are not aware of special events which occur in the city and this unfortunately was one of them. No one knew it was happening, even our bus jefe and drivers, who are usually cognizant of everything which happens in town, were not aware of the race. This was a shock to us and a disappointment to all who attended the tour—to say nothing of the owners of that house and our hard-working volunteers who had arrived in advance of the cyclists and were poised and ready at that house to receive everyone. Unfortunately the bikers arrived just as we were en route to the house in question and no alternate route to reach the home was available unless we waited an hour for them to move on to their next destination. Visiting the unseen second house after the third was unfortuna
tely not an option since it was in Centro and there was nowhere for the buses to park—had there been, even so, driving back to Los Balcones at that time of day would have caused the tour to last close to 4pm when our normal end time is approximately 2pm. 

My personal apologies, again, to everyone.
