Editor,

It seems the problem [with the Sanmiguelada] is the congestion, alchohol and (this year) violence at the event, which is held in the Centro area. Perhaps it could still be held successfully, but in another area, out of the Centro. That way it could be better contained, and shopkeepers and businesspeople in the Centro would not be inconvenienced. Plus, San Miguel would still have a celebrated annual event that draws thousands of visitors and a great deal of dinero to the town.
