José Luis's Picks and Tips:

This week's picks:

Madea's Class Reunion
This movie is hilarious! Tyler Perry has pure talent. Not only are his movies comical and warm-hearted, he also delivers a message. Madea is crazy. However, she is very wise and gives excellent advice. I suggest this movie for anyone who is looking for a gut-busting laugh!

The Forgotten
This film starts out like one of those classic thrillers in which a woman is being driven mad by a vicious spouse, but later it changes into a science fiction story. It is enjoyable as an action flick but better if you can suspend rationality and go with the premise. Maybe aliens are experimenting with us….

The tips:

In order to be able to provide the best viewing experience, the show times for some movies may be adjusted to accommodate their length. Be sure to check the schedule carefully. Also, please remember the new ticket price of 50 pesos. Discount cards are 400 pesos for 10 shows.

Nadav, a sensitive teenager, is smitten with his beautiful Aunt Nina, and that sets the stage for this contemplative film about human fallibility as we scrutinize the panoply of adult experiences: heartrending loss, great sex, bizarre coincidence, mortal illness, and even birth. There's plenty to disappoint Nadav, but there's also reason for hope.

Still, she makes an appearance, if only to remind herself of how far she has come, how happy those days were, and how crazy everyone she knows still is.

Elusive snow leopard fleets across silver screen

The rare and beautiful snow leopard lives in the Himalaya—the highest, most hostile mountain range in the world. This leopard’s ghostlike qualities have given it a reputation as one of the most glamorous animals on earth, and previous searches have yielded little more than tantalizing glimpses. The production of a snow leopard film had become the ultimate wildlife challenge, and two remarkable men—top filmmaker Hugh Miles and wildlife cameraman Mitchell Kelly—believed that they could find and film this most elusive of creatures. Together with their team, they spent four hard years making the film, and like many Himalayan adventures, it was a quest that would end in both tears and triumph.

This documentary, certainly the most detailed and informative ever made about these animals, enables us for the first time to distinguish between individual leopards. Snow leopard family life begins to emerge: toward the end of the film we see a male seeking out a female, culminating in never-before-seen footage of snow leopards courting and mating. But will we see the offspring?
