SPECIAL FEATURES / Vision San Miguel 2009
Since I joined Atención San Miguel more than six years ago I have felt that it is unique expression of modern media in a special, model community and have strived to capture and communicate the wondrous essence of this town.
Where else can one live one’s best life? Where else is there such freedom to be who we choose to be? To be part of a community that truly cares for its own?
And so to begin this year with a strong community focus I invited several NGO’s, enterprises, organizations and individuals offer a brief description of their organizations and visions for the year 2009, to identify what we value in San Miguel. Over the next pages you can read what people are creating in the many areas of local development: animal rights, child care, education, environment, housing, political and community support as well as the main festivals and the arts. Although the information is by no means complete, it does give a general overview of the direction the main organizations are heading and where they seek our support and assistance. If the organization you belong to was not included in this issue I invite you to send us a small summary for publication in the near future. Send to
edit@atencionsanmiguel.org.
