Because of popular demand, the San Miguel Garden Club will publish a calendar for 2010. As in previous years, individuals are invited to submit photos to be considered for inclusion. In observance of the special Centennial Year of Mexico in 2010, “Celebrations” has been selected as the theme for the calendar.

All photos should be of a San Miguel celebration, whether a large celebration such as a city-wide parade, or a small celebration such as a birthday party.

Calendar format will be horizontal and the calendar itself can be hung on the wall, or folded and used as a desktop calendar.

Photographers selected for inclusion of their work will receive five copies of the calendar, be honored at our annual luncheon and help support projects that beautify and benefit San Miguel.

Contest deadline: All entries must be submitted between now and June 15.

Entry guidelines:

· The contest is open to everyone.

· Subject matter should be “Celebrations.”

· Photos should be horizontal in format and ready for printing in a 9.5” x 11” size.

· A maximum of five submissions per person is allowed.

· Resolution: You may submit a lower resolution photo for judging, but if your work is selected for inclusion, you must re-submit your work in a resolution of 300 DPI or higher.

· Negatives unaccompanied by prints are not eligible.

· Photos and negatives should include your name, address and telephone number if you wish to have them returned. CDs will not be returned.

· Entries may also be submitted electronically to Jane@JaneSallis.com.

· Each entry must include a title and the photographer’s name for credit in the calendar.

· Hand-delivered entries will be accepted until June 15, 2009, in the mailbox of Jane Sallis, at the Border Crossings mail station at Fábrica La Aurora.

· Entries from the US should be mailed to Jane Sallis, BC-2323, 9902 Crystal Ct. 107, Laredo, TX 78045-6379.
