The moment life remains quiet and lets her sister talk…for some people their word is anguish, for some others challenging, and for more than one is seductive. To the characters in this program, their voices caress the ear, whispering the notes of a known symphony. You suspect the sight, the color, the scent, even the sound, but at the end…nothing more than doubt remains. Is death really so strange? How many times do we have to die in order to recognize it? Is her compassion the well-kept secret? Will her light be the one that blinds us? Will her love be the thing that we fear the most?
With this presentation we show some of the emotions that the idea of the death awakens in the human being. We use some of the characters of the “Lotería,” the popular Mexican game that helps us identify ourselves with some of the characters in our personal stories. Therefore, the Lotería game is also the game of the life and death, the game where everything blends, the game of being one self.
We propose our own vision of death, the one that reconciles with life, the one that sings and dances to the rhythm of freedom, the one that engages us to the peace and joy of living intensely.
Tickets are 100 pesos at the box office.
