It’s been 18 years since the premature death of Adolph Riestra. This exhibition appears in the Gallery Florence Riestra as a parallel project to the Festival of the Mud organized by the artist Frame Vargas. The participation of Adolph Riestra, sculptor and painter in the Mexican art community since 1980, has been very important and a great manifestation of his work, choosing techniques such as the expression of mud. Today its mud sculpture is welcome in the collection of the patrimony Adolph Riestra in the City of Mexico, promoted and directed by Gallery OMR. The figurative work of Adolph Riestra has been awarded and analyzed by prominent critics of the art world such as Erika Billeter, Edward Sullivan, Antonio of the Tower among others, as well as numerous text publications. Their works are in very important collections: Center of Contemporary Art, Cultural Foundation of Television, City of Mexico; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Museum of Monterrey; Rivendell Collection, the Annandale-on-Hudson, New York; Wilhelm Lembruck Museum, Duisburg, Germany. The exhibition is inaugurated to the public on Saturday, October 13, 5–(N)9pm, Gallery Florence Riestra located in the Fábrica laAurora, 154-6247.
