Meetings & Lectures
Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
This week’s meeting features past UU president Lee Veal on “Omniscience vs. Free Will.” Have you ever heard someone say, “Well, it just wasn’t meant to be?” Veal says he has heard that hundreds of times, but it does not fit his belief system about a divine plan. What is at the center of someone’s core theological beliefs (God, Allah, Yahweh or whatever) that leads them to say such things? He’ll present some ideas about omniscience, free will and whether a divine plan by an omniscient deity controls our every move, decision, or seemingly random outcome.
The UU Fellowship meets every Sunday at 10:30am at La Posada de la Aldea, Ancha de San Antonio 15. Visitors are invited to attend the service and then join the UUs in the hotel restaurant for brunch.
