Hundreds of Sanmiguelenses attended a celebration at La Estación events hall that honored Daniela Doig and her newly published book, 101 Caras, which pays homage to living Sanmiguelenses who have had an impact on their city.

In an interview, Doig said that the 101 people featured in the book were chosen by Sanmiguelenses themselves—although she gave priority to the oldest people among the choices. These are people Doig said “deserve to be living legends while still here, because they have left us an amazing legacy.”

The publication party featured live jazz and cocktails, as well as a sense of fraternity and happiness for the participants and attendees. At the event, Doig said that two more editions of the book are planned, with a total of 303 residents to be honored.

The book can be purchased for 900 pesos at Hotel Nena, Café La Ventana, the Matilda hotel, and the La Aurora artspace, among other spots.
