Do you like skateboarding, graffiti, or music? Then check out the Urban Culture Festival on June 15 and 16 at the Centro de Impulso Social Barrio Las Cuevitas (Cuevitas Neighborhood Community Center). The festival celebrates Go Skateboarding day, a worldwide celebration of skateboarding that promotes the sport and its culture.

Come show off your skills and prove what you’re made of as you skate over ramps and platforms San Miguel Skateboard owner Eric “El Gringo Loco” Lustgarten has set up. Or you can paint murals or graffiti art so that everyone can appreciate your talent. Enjoy music from different bands playing a variety of rhythms to suit all tastes, including reggae ensemble Monte Bong and ska bands Babilonios and Las Patas de la Cuca. If you want pure rock, there is El Pecado de Afrodita and Gaby Espinosa. For rap lovers, Ranchero Padillero will perform. While you’re enjoying the tunes, don’t go hungry: check out the festival’s food court.

The Cuevitas Neighborhood Community Center is located at Calzada de la Estacion s/n, close to the Central de Autobuses bus station. You won’t want to miss this family-friendly, art-filled event!
