Aerial Artists, Circus Performance at Biblioteca

ANGELS

By Irineo Muñoz

Come see a circus show that will delight your senses.

Be part of a unique experience that no visual media can bring to you, an experience of flesh and bone in motion happening right before your eyes. These beautiful bodies will defy gravity and common sense and make you feel more alive just by watching.

The sight of an angel can save you. It can touch your soul; it can bring you to paradise. But what happens when a demon appears? Will you be prepared to refuse its charms and the seduction of sin? Are you one of those people who likes to find another way of feeling alive, who has been in love with an angel or seduced by a devil, or has ever asked yourself why is there an eternal struggle between right and wrong inside the human soul? Then this is a show for you. This show will give you dancing, acrobatics, comedy, contortionists, aerial arts, and more.

Ignium is a young company presenting circus shows since 2013. One of its first productions was “Tonalli,” an aerial show with a great story set in Aztec culture. Tonalli was a sold-out success last time it appeared at the Biblioteca’s Teatro Santa Ana. Since then, the company has been growing professionally and has expanded its repertoire to include 2018’s International Festival of Scenic Arts of Querétaro.

The Circus of Art is collaboration between the Itinerant Museum of Contemporary Art, Karpa de Mente, Ignium, and Duo Quetzal. The troupe is made up of young professional artists, graduates of the Contemporary Circus Arts Diploma of México City’s Cirko de Mente and the Scenic Arts department of Querétaro Autonomous University.

The show is fresh and unforgettable.
