Beating The Odds – And All That Cha-Cha!

Marin and Eli

By Eli Hans and Joseph Bennett

A cancer diagnosis is a defining moment in our life where everything comes to a standstill, and we are forever changed.

If you or someone you love has been touched by cancer—directly or indirectly—no doubt when the diagnosis was made, your lives turned upside down in an instant. It’s a terrifying wake-up call and, from my own experience, I can say that it can also be an absolutely transformative one. Though I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, in hindsight, my cancer adventure has been incredibly empowering and even necessary to get me back on the right track.

I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of lymphoma in September 2014, with about a 10 percent chance of survival. After the initial panic, my internal Sherlock Holmes went into full investigative mode. I gained a lot of power and hope believing there was something I could do to turn things around to improve my odds. I wasn’t sure if my efforts would prove to be fruitful. Yet based on results, all the strategies I incorporated into my life were essential in helping me to regain my health and my life. Here I am, four-and-a-half years later, alive and thriving!

If you’re currently dealing with cancer, or if you’ve perhaps finished with treatment and want to avoid a relapse, or even if you’re well and want to do what you can to prevent the dreaded moment of hearing your doctor say “you have cancer,” I’d like to invite you to an inspiring and lifesaving workshop that will help you reduce your fear and anxiety, get clear about ways to shift your mindset, and look at the entire experience of cancer from a different perspective. It will bring you deeper peace of mind.

During our time together, I’ll be sharing a few of the life-affirming strategies that helped me become a cancer thriver. Focusing on nutrition, shifting my mindset, detoxifying my environment, and discovering several out-of-the box tools were crucial to my recovery. If you’re well and healthy (wonderful!), you can share this vital information with a loved one who might be going through their own cancer experience.

My husband Joseph and I share a mutual passion of supporting others to their highest potential. We’ve devoted our lives recently to doing that through personal growth workshops of various topics. Joseph was the perfect caretaker during our cancer adventure together, and he will share methods from the caregiver perspective that were truly helpful to us both.

Though what we have to share relates to cancer, the information is applicable to anyone who wants to get back on track with regaining optimum health and vitality. Taking care of yourself now to prevent a life-altering serious disease in the future is a beautiful act of self-love that can have enormous positive ramifications. Please give yourself that gift. If we can inspire and guide you in some way, it would be our greatest joy.
