Candelaria Fair at Parque Juárez Coming to a Close

By Jesus Aguado

Each year, spring comes early to Benito Juárez Park, as locals converge with thousands of native plants that fill the park’s paths with their colors and scents.

The Candelaria Fair, an annual plant fair in the park, began January 30 and will officially close February 10; however, it is well-known that the plant and gardening supplies vendors always stick around five more days.

So if it is time to overhaul your garden for the oncoming spring or to put color in your balconies, pay the fair a visit; it’s also your last chance to be inside Juárez Park for a while: the Candelaria Fair will be the park’s final event before planned renovations begin.

Here are some photos of the cultural events being held as part of the fair, and, of course, the plants.
