New Art Gallery Opens in Centro

By Daniela Hernández

Up-and-coming young artists Rodrigo Ayala and Juan Zaragoza will unite their talent with the experience of veteran artist and collector Carlos Hernandez for the debut opening of ZONA Gallery on calle Mesones on February 1.

Ayala, a graduate of the Instituto Allende, presents a series of extraordinary and sublime portraits in oil with perfect management of color and of the art spatula.

Zaragoza, a graduate of the University of Guanajuato, will present his iconic landscapes of San Miguel de Allende and its surroundings. Zaragoza’s paintings transform ordinary daily life into unforgettable images.

Hernandez, a dedicated collector, presents the work of Julio Quintanilla, an artist originally from the Yucatán who settled in San Miguel a few years ago. Quintanilla’s work is full of creativity and color.

Visit the ZONA Gallery and enjoy an inaugural cocktail this Friday from 5–9pm at Mesones 76.
