Sisters Who Lean On Each Other

Jazmin

Nuni

Snowflake

By Megan Gabel

In addition to having been SPA residents since June 2016, sisters Snowflake and Thunder (about 2-1/2 years old) and sisters Jazmin and Nuni (about 2-3/4 years old) have another thing in common. Each is bonded to her sister. When Thunder was adopted earlier this year, a depressed and lonely Snowflake stopped eating, which changed the moment that Thunder, also traumatized by the separation, came back to the SPA. Meanwhile, when going for a walk, Nuni acts as Jazmin’s security blanket. The world of cars and strangers makes Jazmin nervous.

Thunder and Snowflake are medium-to-large, friendly, affectionate, smart, playful Labrador Retriever mixes. Full of love, they don’t bark much and often lie nose to nose in the casita they share, playing gently with each other. Nuni is friendly and energetic, and Jazmin, timid at first, is very gentle and sweet once she feels comfortable. They are both large dogs. Needless to say, we hope that the sisters are not separated from each other upon adoption.

Meet them at the SPA, Los Pinos 7, 152 6124, any day, Monday–Saturday, 11–2.

Please help us raise money to cover the annual cost of feeding our animals by donating to our Pet Food Money Bank fundraiser. We haven’t met our goal yet (250,000 pesos). For more info, see www.spasanmiguel.org/how-you-can-help/pet-food-money-bank/, call 152 6124, or write info@spasanmiguel.org
