New Underwater Museum Coming to Cancun

Cancun opened its first underwater museum in 2010, the Museo Subacuatico de Art—known as MUSA—and now the resort destination is developing a new underwater attraction. Announced in February, it is now underway, according to a report in Riviera Maya News.

The museum will be made up of three areas: The first is a Mayan city with replicas of ruins, approved by the National Institute of Anthropology and History. Another part of the museum will be made up of sculptures, including 90 molds of angels. The third part will include a submarine snake.

As Cancun creates its second underwater museum, the US just opened its first: the Underwater Museum of Art, which is located in Grayton Beach State Park in South Walton, Florida, has officially opened to the public.

Tourism from the US to Kenya has been growing approximately 20 percent per year over the past few years, with forecasts calling for 100,000 US visitors this year. The new flight, which will run daily, will add approximately 90,000 seats over 12 months.

The approximately 14-hour flight will be operated on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners with a capacity of 234 passengers, 30 in Premium World (the airline’s business class), and 204 in Economy.
