Meet H+Hospital San Miguel’s Cardiac Team, The Doctor’s Curricula Vitae

Dr Francisco Melendez received his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Juárez. His specialty degree in general surgery is from the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua. He also did a subspecialty in cardiothoracic surgery in Mexico City at the Hospital 20 de Noviembre ISSSTE, affliliated with the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Dr Melendez is certified by the Mexican Board of General Surgery and by the National Board of Thoracic Surgery. He lives and has his private practice here in San Miguel de Allende.
Dr Grace Lim is a Canadian physician who received her medical degree from the prestigious Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. Her degree in the specialty of internal medicine is from the Universidad de Guadalajara, and her degree in the subspecialty of critical care medicine is from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. During her training, she had an internal medicine residency rotation in the Royal Victoria Hospital, a McGill-affiliated hospital in Montreal.
Dr Lim has been practicing internal medicine for the past five years and critical care for three years in Mexico City and now has her private practice here in San Miguel.
Dr Claudia Aguilar-Chalela is the CEO of Hospital H+. She received a master of business administration (MBA) degree from the Universidad Cuauhtémoc and received her medical degree from the prestigious Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. She monitors and ensures the smooth operation of the hospital; interacts and coordinates with staff members, personnel, and coworkers; addresses the medical team’s needs on a priority basis; and provides them all with needed resources for patient care.
Dr Aguilar-Chalela oversees the entire operation to ensure proper and prompt patient care, and encourages and motivates the medical teams to provide best of patient care and exceed expectations. She plans and conducts outreach programs to familiarize the community with preventive measures against disease.

Dr Santiago Casal received his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro and his advanced degrees in cardiology from the Instituto Nacional de Cardiología Ignacio Chávez. Dr Casal is board certified and practices medicine in San Miguel.
Dr René Reyes received his medical degree from the Universidad de Guanajuato, his cardiology and his interventional cardiology degrees from the prestigious Instituto Nacional de Cardiología in Mexico City. Dr Reyes is board certified and has his private practice in San Miguel and Irapuato.
