On June 29th, the Bellas Artes hall was decked out in long tablecloths and food as Bellas Artes students and teachers presented the projects students have been working from March to June. And thus another learning cycle was completed last Friday at the Centro Cultural “El Nigromante.”

The purpose of the event was for students from workshops in ceramics, engraving, mixed-media painting, textiles, contemporary painting, and digital photography, as well as a workshop for children in painting, to exhibit their work to the community. The students of each workshop offered snacks and drinks for their guests at their exhibit.

In the children’s painting exhibit, proud parents offered the snacks while the children personally showed attendees their work. Meanwhile, in the textile workshop, the graduates presented not only the carpets they had made in the workshop but also their paintings and sculptures and even some jewelry.

In the contemporary painting workshop, the very animated alumni presented the progress they have made throughout the course, showing off the paintings they did early in the class as well as final work for the course. In the engraving workshop exhibit, students demonstrated the various techniques they had learned during the instructional cycle.

The exhibits ended with ballet students putting on a show in the Miguel Malo Auditorium, and then everyone was invited to the terrace atop the El Tupinamba restaurant to close the event.
