Dear Editor

566fhg

My husband, Morgan Gilbert, took this photograph at about 7am, June 18, 2018, from our bedroom on Cielito Lindo in colonial Guadalupe, and I thought it might be of possible interest to you. We bought our house here two decades ago and have watched as the “family” of this unusual cactus, thriving in the garden of a neighbor, grew and grew over our garden wall!

The photo (minus the cactus) reminded me of a bestselling song of the late 1960s titled “Up Up and Away”—whose lyrics are below and which, if I’m not mistaken, Trans World Airlines at one time adopted as its theme song. My husband has also photoshopped the original photo, which you might also like to see.

Sincerely,

Ms Dana Little
