Ten years after its opening, Luna de Queso has seen a series of triumphs throughout its history, thanks to founder Mariana Peraza.

What for Mariana began as practically an accident has now become a temple of good eating where people can gather every day to have a balanced breakfast, or buy products in the store.

At first she started a place to sell goat cheeses made by her parents, Patricia and Carlos. Little by little, Luna de Queso and Mariana were acquiring a certain character and beginning to learn how to deal with the business world. She started out selling only 30 products and now offers more than 1600. Mariana herself takes charge of testing every product in her shop to make sure it offers quality and flavor. Her motto is: “I buy, I eat, and I taste.”

Mariana originally studied Plastic Arts and never believed she would end up running a business of this magnitude, which today celebrates 3650 days of perseverance and team effort.

To celebrate these 10 years of creating and improving their products and designs, Mariana and the whole team organized a mega anniversary party to celebrate with the whole Luna de Queso family that has always believed in them.

They also took the opportunity to show off some other products during the celebration, such as Sambrosia Ice Cream, Mente Cacao, Soly Cheese, El Rebaño Cheese, Brocha Gorda, Dos Aves, and Allende, among other brands.

And, of course, they could not miss the opportunity for a danzón, led by Los Arribeños, Huapango de Guanajuato.

During the afternoon, people were able to enjoy a picnic party in the gardens of the restaurant, with cocktails and beers; cheeses, dips, and cold meats; and snacks, chocolates and desserts. Attendees chatted, danced, and drank drink after drink.

Soon, the evening arrived, and it was time to cut the anniversary cake, which everyone who works there did together, celebrating 10 years of achievement and great dedication. Mariana says she’s not finished and plans to go for another decade.
