EuroJazz Festival Brings European Jazz Trio to Casa Europa

By Cecilia Romero

Casa Europa en México is pleased to be part of the EuroJazz Festival 2018, and to be able to host one of the most important music festivals in Mexico. The EuroJazz Festival, where the best European exponents of jazz meet, is promoted by the European Union and is considered one of the most important in Latin America.

For 20 years, this festival has come to Mexico, and for the first time it will take place in the city of San Miguel de Allende, in the facilities of Casa Europa in Mexico, where the Austrian trio Rom Schaerer Eberle will play.

Rom Schaerer Eberle emerged from the JazzWerkstatt in Vienna and the Jazzwerkstatt in Berne, and was founded in 2009. Full of wit and imagination, this furious collaboration, with an unusual line up (voice, trumpet, and guitar), has opened a path to the center of the European jazz scene. Their albums, Please Don’t Feed the Model, and At the Age of Six I Wanted to Be a Cook, have been acclaimed by critics and have led to concerts in places such as Cullyjazz (Switzerland), London, Paris, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Rome, and Berlin.

This event is happening Tuesday, March 20, 7pm at San Francisco 23, Zona Centro, San Miguel de Allende. Tickets will be on sale at Casa Europa and Tesoros at the Biblioteca.
