Sculptor Jorge Marín opened an exhibit of 24 pieces that will be available to the general public from now until August at Casa de Cultura Banamex at Canal 4.

Marin’s Raíces (Roots) showcases the artist’s vision of the American identity, encounters between people recorded on the planet, and the concept of transformation and its impact on culture.

Jorge Marín has created sculptures of several dimensions, from miniature to monumental. His pieces have shown in individual exhibitions in Europe, Africa, Asia and America. He has participated also in 260 other collective exhibits.

Raíces will remain up until August. The Casa de Cultura is open from Monday through Friday from 9–6pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10am–6pm. Guided tours take place at 1pm and 5pm from Mon–Fri. Admission is free.
