Make the SPA Clinic Your First Choice for Veterinary Care for Your Fur Babies

By Jayn Corral

Are you looking for a good, affordable veterinary clinic to care for your fur babies? Did you know that the SPA is not only the place to go to adopt a dog or cat but also provides high-quality veterinary care for the community’s cats and dogs at reasonable prices?

Dr Adriana Rivera is the veterinarian at the SPA’s well-equipped clinic. She and her assistant are onsite Monday through Saturday to diagnose, treat, and care for your pet. Dr Adriana can do blood tests, clean teeth, vaccinate, medicate, and sterilize your pet. She can treat illnesses and injuries. She can take X-rays and perform surgery. For surgeries, the clinic offers the option of gas anesthesia with our new gas anesthesia equipment. If necessary, your pet can be hospitalized overnight.

Dr Adriana provides all services with the love, care, sensitivity, and concern as if your pet were her own. In most cases, she can see your pet the same day, although for your convenience she encourages you to make an appointment.

Prices for consultations and other services are lower than most San Miguel clinics. Tuesdays and Saturdays feature discounts on consultations and selected services with extended hours so the public can take advantage of the extra savings. Save even more money by buying a package. For example, a complete puppy package, with a value of 2,445 pesos for a male puppy, is only 1,500 pesos. The package includes two consultations three multiple vaccinations, two dewormings, Bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, and sterilization. Packages are good for one year and are also available for kittens and adult dogs, and there is a puppy vaccination package.

This month, the SPA’s normal price of 700-1,000 pesos for teeth cleaning (cats and dogs) has been reduced by 20 percent (includes anesthetic and professional cleaning with ultrasonic scaler/polisher). Other bargains at the SPA include a discount on sterilizations when an SPA pet is adopted and an unsterilized pet is at home. There is no limit on the number of pets sterilized, and it doesn’t matter if you adopt a cat and have dogs at home or vice versa. The procedure must be done within two months of the adoption.

Do yourself and your fur babies a favor by making the SPA clinic your first choice for veterinary care. Save a lot of money by doing so without sacrificing quality. Refer your friends and neighbors to the SPA clinic so they, too, can take advantage of these benefits.

Clinic hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9am to 3pm and Tuesday and Saturday from 9am to 4pm.

Call for an appointment at 152 6124, or stop by at Los Pinos 7. From town, take Calzada de la Estación, turn right at the bright orange building before you reach the bus station. That’s Los Pinos. The SPA is up the hill on the right side.
