Dear Editor:

Editor’s note: This letter is to everyone who contributed money for La Biblioteca’s scholarships

Dear Editor:

It is a pleasure to write these few lines to express my immense gratitude, feeling that words are superfluous when gratitude is absolute, as is the case here.

Thanks to you all, I have learned that even in the smallest corner of this immense world there is great kindness. The fact that you have believed in me and fully trusted me all this time, gave me enough strength to continue persevering day after day. It is thanks to people like you that many young people can dream and fight for these dreams. You gave me the opportunity that so many long for. I have nothing left but to commit myself and show you all that all the trust and support you have given me has not been in vain, On the contrary, I will continue striving.

This scholarship program is one of the best things that has happened to me throughout my life—to think that outside the home, there is someone else who trusts in my ability and intelligence to move forward and forge a better future for my family and for society. This faith that you have had in me has made a big difference not only in my life but in that of a whole family.

Luz Mariela Pacheco Hernández.

There can never be too much gratitude for those who did not abandon you when you needed them most.
