This past Sunday, January 28th, artists could present their work in a new way—in a big party.

More than a sale, it was a celebration, where arts and coexistence were celebrated. During the six-hour event, many people arrived, had a few drinks, knew the emerging brands and consumed a little of what San Miguel hands have created.

El Pavo Real, the new restaurant to be opened in the city center, offered passion fruit drinks, mescal, and very colorful and delicious sopesitos.

All the producers showed off high quality products and their commitment to good service. QiuHome, with its cushion covers with exclusive textile designs; La Rueda’s engraving workshop with their samples of works made by local artists, where we could find drawings of hummingbirds, elephants and even fantastic designs of computer motherboards; Verónica Genta with incredible designs of clothes; Esther James with delicious handcrafted chocolates; and Evelyne Pouget with “San Miguel’s Indigenous Concheros”, interventions of photographs that are worth of watching.

And well, there was the incredible coexistence created by all the exhibitors: Gaio Gallery, Arte&Sano, Osvanni de la Rosa, ARTStuff, Mano Santa. And, of course, there was the good atmosphere and excellent response that brought so many attendees to this first pop-up party in the first place.

Although the weather played a little bit with logistics, people decided to stay to dance along with Elsa Sommarström’s songs and Susan Varcoe’s melodies. Later, after a few mezcals, people enthusiastically watched Rosa Vitalia’s show.

Alejandra and Evelyn hope that due to the success of this first party this event can be held at least every one to two months. They were surprised and very happy with the support and hope that it will always be the same in future projects.
