The Opal Mine is a jewelry concept shop you should visit. Not only is their jewelry exclusive, but the unique interior of the store will make you feel as if you are in a real mine.

Last Friday, the Opal Mine of San Miguel de Allende celebrated its second anniversary in grand style. They welcomed all their guests with a wonderful cocktail, music, and surprises that fascinated everyone.

People arrived very early to enjoy the live melodies played by violinist David Mendoza, which harmonized perfectly with the evening. All the guests took advantage of the chance to take a tour of the jewelry selection. Why not? It was so easy to buy one or two little gifts, such as a ring, bracelet, watch, earrings, or a necklace.

At the end of the tour, people stopped to visit the Finca Luna Serena shop, which is located at the back of the jewelry store. There they could live the olive tree experience and learn that a certain knowledge of tasting is required for olive oils. The oils can be very light or very strong. The owners of the shop are themselves the producers. They also give tours of their olive groves, offering breakfast or lunches, but only by reservation.

Between wine and canapes, people began to enter into the atmosphere, and later the raffle, which so many were waiting for, took place. The gifts were rings, bracelets and oil packages by Finca Luna Serena. Very fortunate winners took samples of the jewelry and olive oil home. To end the night, mariachis arrived to set everyone dancing until it was time to say goodbye.

The Opal Mine is an all-Mexican jewelry store, whose mother shop is located on the Puerto Vallarta boardwalk. It opened its doors in 2006. Their jewelry of exclusive designs is inspired by opal, the national stone, and puts Mexico’s culture at the forefront through its diversity. So well deserved has been the success of the store that it will soon open two more branches, one in Cabo San Lucas and another in Ensenada.
