By Mark Bilker

Daniel Lippman, a Politico.com reporter and co-author of its indispensable morning newsletter “Playbook,” will discuss the state of Washington politics and journalism at the Biblioteca’s Sala Quetzal on Tuesday, December 19. The event is being presented under the auspices of the San Miguel de Allende chapter of Democrats Abroad.

Before joining Politico, Lippman was a fellow covering environmental news for E&E publishing and a reporter for the Wall Street Journal.

As the lone regular on the Ask the White House online forum, the then-teenaged news junkie attracted the attention of the New Yorker, which wrote of him in 2005, “Like many boys his age, Daniel has an Internet habit his parents don’t really understand. He interviews mid-level Bush administration bureaucrats.” Lippman’s avid interest in politics and journalism while attending George Washington University brought him to the attention of National Public Radio and the Associated Press. Tickets for the free event are limited to 50 and go on sale December 5 at the Biblioteca’s Santa Ana Box Office.
