This year’s Dress to Give Fashion Days were filled with color by international designers Isabella Springmühl and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, who dazzled spectators with their lively designs and set the trend to inspire one or two amateur designers who attended the event. Among the invited designers were Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Isabella Springmühl, Leonardo Mena, Iann Day, Alfredo Martínez, Benjamín Ríos, Antonia Pastor de Couplé, Carla Fernández, Lorena Saravia, Gustavo Huelguera, Jesús de la Garsa, and María Luisa Chávez, who shared ideas and influences to enrich their knowledge in the fashion sector and inspire each other to continue creating unique projects. Marta Sahagún de Fox, president of Vamos Mexico, and fashionista Blanca Salinas were in charge of gathering and inviting the designers who would exhibit their collections in this great event.

On all the catwalks, a number of people could be noticed who came to support the cause to help raise funds for the CRISMA project, a rehabilitation center that has a model of comprehensive medical care aimed at developing and strengthening the capacity for independence of children and adults with limited resources who have some physical and/or brain damage.

The designers were excited to present their collections, and all the attendees were dazzled by the clothing and jewelry line that each designer presented.

On the first day, Carla Fernández had a catwalk on calle Reloj, in front of the former Casa Cohen, today Dôce 18 Concept House, and the first catwalk of mojigangas was joined by Agatha Ruiz herself. On the second day, with cocktails and a red carpet at the Instituto Allende, there was a catwalk by Maria Luisa Chávez, Leonardo Mena, Iann Day, Cuadra Cuplé, and Isabella Springmühl. Marta Sahagún accompanied the guests on a tour of the halls of the Instituto, where some of the artists exhibited their designs in jewelry, clothing, bags, and other items. After the show, guests and designers enjoyed a gourmet dinner hosted by chef Alonso Dominguez at NEXTIA. On the third and final day, a brunch at The Restaurant by chef Donnie Masterton started the day for the attendees, who had the opportunity to admire some of Amrapali’s jewelry pieces. In the afternoon, in the Rosewood Gardens, another year of Fashion Days came to a close with elegant, colorful catwalks by Gustavo Helguera, Lorena Saravia, Jesús de la Garsa, Alfredo Martínez, and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. Later, so that the guest designers could experience a little bit of nightlife in San Miguel, an after party was held at the MX Bar. Next year will be another opportunity to experience the energy and unique designs of upcoming designers in these three days of glamor.
