Last Friday, November 3, doctors at the Mac Hospital celebrated Doctor’s Day with a small cocktail party and also welcomed the new clinic. Lic. Gerardo Jiménez opened the ceremony with a toast and congratulations to the doctors for their work and the efforts that they put forth daily in creating the new program. The Medical Director, Dr Roberto Maxwell, said a few words, and the administrative staff, operational staff, and their companions attended the event and toured each room in the entire hospital: rehabilitation room, surgeries for rent, emergency rooms, state-of-the-art equipment rooms, operating rooms, and more. The purpose of each of the areas was explained, such as the emergency departments, an emergency clinic, a decontamination area, a healing and plastering room, a triage office, a hydration area, one infantile and four adult cubicles, and a shock room.

Tococirugía, for obstetric care delivery and resuscitation of the newborn, has a surgery room, a recovery room (three beds), and a nursing center. The laboratory has six high-end devices for review of samples for blood chemistry, biometrics, coagulation time, immunological tests, and a blood gas and urine strip reader. In the two operating rooms are one recovery bed each, and a nursing station is nearby. For hospitalization, there are thirty rooms; twenty-four standard, four master suites, two isolated rooms, one physiological baby crib, and five other baby cribs. In the intensive care unit (UCIN) are two thermal cribs, two radiant heat cribs, and two cubicles.
