Trip to Cuernavaca/Taxco

Lions are off on a 3-night trip to Cuernavaca and Taxco on November 14-17. One night in Cuernavaca in a fabulous hotel, Hosteria Las Quintas, and 2 nights in Taxco. In Cuernavaca we will stop for comida at Las Mañanitas, for those who want to eat there. There is a cathedral, Robert Brady Museum and the Borda gardens. There will be a stop at the pyramid Xochicalco, one of the most important archeological sites in Mexico, on the way to Taxco. In Taxco we will stay at the Agua Escondida located right on the Zocalo: great silver shopping, also at Arca de Noe for discounted silver, byob cocktail party the first night. Optional trip to Cacahuamilpa caverns on the second day in Taxco. There are several things to see in Taxco: the statue of Christ, the UNAM botanical garden and school, Santa Prisca church and the Spratling museum. We stop in Metepec at the Galleria Mall on the way back. Those who wish may taxi to the shops where the trees of life are made and sold. Cost including donation to Lions, breakfasts, first class bus, hotels, tips and taxes is 3500 pesos each, double occupancy (about USD$200), single is 5000 pesos (about USD$285).
