Playreaders Presents a Wacky Fish Story!

By Marthe Fraser

It’s another Norm Foster, Playreaders! Canada’s and my favorite playwright has written another fun and funny play. Come join us Wednesday and Thursday, November 1 and 2, for The Great Kooshog Lake Hollis McCauley Fishing Derby.

On his way to an important seminar, investment banker James Bell’s car breaks down near the sleepy town of Kooshog Lake. He finds himself in the thick of one of the most competitive fishing derbies known to man, the Great Kooshog Lake Hollis McCauley Fishing Derby. People come from miles around to catch one fish, a fish that has eluded capture for over 20 years, and the purse has grown to $92,000.

Come meet James Bell (Mick Diener), Sienna Grey (Maggie Bunce), Kirk Douglas (Chris Kapilla), Rhonda (Gerri Baruch), and Melanie Morningside (Clara Duncan) and watch James learn how to fish—and a whole lot more.

Tickets will be sold at the door at 6:45pm each evening on a first-come, first-served basis. All ticket holders must be present when the doors open at 7pm or their seat may be resold. The play will begin at 7:30pm or when the house is filled.
