San Miguel de Allende-In less than a month, the duo is composed by Jenny Beaujean and Benjamín García, singer and bass player, respectively with a jazz that mixes Brazilian music and a Latin American repertoire of acoustic sound.

They are the ones who will open the 2017 edition of the Jazz & Blues Festival of San Miguel de Allende, one of the most important in Latin America.

The musicians, both from Mexico City, arrive in San Miguel de Allende on November 15 after performing in such well-known venues as New York, Montreal and Barcelona. Two young talents who continue to demonstrate that jazz, far from dead, lives more alive than ever and in the taste of youth.

With them, in a double concert, will be presented the group “Las Billies” composed by Leika Mochan, Claudia Arellano, Luz Varela, Citlalli Toledo, Ingrid Beaujean and Jenny Beaujean herself; six city women who surprise with their abilities to create musical experiences with no other instrument but their voices. It is a unique vocal ensemble in Mexico that makes its way into the jazz circuit.
These two groups are part of the program of the opening concert and each day will be a musico-visual and didactic trip, to enrich the spirit and collective enjoyment, so we invite you to visit the Festival website, where you will find more information sanmigueljazz.com.mx.

Tickets are on sale on the same website and at the Angela Peralta theater box office.

Alternating to the musical presentations, the Festival offers free activities, such as a Jazz Workshop, in the didactic part, which will explain the elements of this musical language; while in the audio-visual part comes our film cycle again, with a selection of projections allusive to jazz and blues.
