To the surprise for San Miguel music lovers, our city will be the first stop on their promotional tour of their new E.P. “A Gypsy Journey Pt. II,” after being released in Denver, Colorado on June 3. With original compositions, this duet will delight us with its latest material full of new sounds, rhythms and harmonies that talks about a universal musical baggage, and narrate stories and experiences of a journey that starts again.

You can see them live on Thursday June 22 at the Santos (Callejón de los Suspiros 7) at 9pm. In addition, they are special guests as headlines at the San Miguel Blues Festival that celebrates its ninth edition, on Saturday June 24 night at the Hotel Sautto (Hernández Macías 59) closing the series of concerts that will start at 7pm.

El Javi, a Rock Flamenco artist out of Mexico City delivers a distinct instrumental sound with a powerful live performance. Joining the spirit of flamenco with the heart of Rock, the now Denver based guitarist uses a collaborative approach to color his compositions and evolve his unique sound.

The 2015 release of A Gypsy Journey Part II, joined El Javi with Catalan percussionist, Jordi Marin which launched the duo on a tour throughout North America.

Together they performed the Festival of the Arts in Coahuila México, The Jazz and Blues festival in Santa Clarita, CA, The International Music Festival in San José del Cabo, Mex, the Salmon Arm Festival in British Columbia, Canada and opened for today’s biggest voice of flamenco, Diego el Cigala, during his Noche Tacumana world tour in San Miguel de Allende, Mex.
