Venue is a platform that serves as a meeting place for venues and spaces where action happens. It plans to present the city as a destination that is not only a tourist or commercial destination, but also a forum for contemporary artistic ideas.

The project features Lado V (Side V), a component of the experiences or meetings that will be taking place mainly here in SMA. So far artists from Buenos Aires, Tokyo, Guadalajara and Mexico City have participated. It has also served as a meeting place for local designers,  adding a fresh and interesting touch to the local scene.

Venue developed in San Miguel de Allende through a partnership with associates in other destinations, such as New York. The central project is a website promoting SMA venues to the public that will be launched this summer. The website is www.venuesanmiguel.com.

Marianna Garcés Torres came up with the project in 2011 and is the current manager and director of the project. The first session of Lado V was in November of 2016, with music, entertainment, and fashion.

The second session was held at The Restaurant, with the presentation of Kenta Kamiyama from Shibuya, Tokyo, for his first performance in Mexico. Me & Myself and the Red will  be performing in the future. The visuals to brighten the night will be produced by resident artists, Bacanora Visuals. This session is possible thanks to the collaboration of OTONO Label & Space Agency, Nova Fund, and Japomex Arte Mexico-Japan.
