Traveling Woes

By Helen Dickson

One of the stories I constantly hear comes from people who say they would love to adopt a cat but travel too much and will postpone getting a cat until their traveling days are over. Please reconsider; adopt a cat now and hire a house/cat sitter. This person will not only take care of your cat but will also provide a built-in security system for your home. A double-win! There are many experienced sitters in town who will be happy looking after both your home and cat.

Please remember cats can live approximately twenty years. So, unless you give up traveling quite young, your newly adopted cat will outlive you! Why postpone the pleasure of having feline company? Make your life more fulfilling now. Come by the SPA, Los Pinos 7, 152 6124, to find your perfect cat.

While you’re there, please help feed all our animals by donating to our Pet Food Money Bank—100% will be applied to the annual cost of their food. Our goal is 180,000 pesos (about US$9,000). For details and information, see in May up to US$2,000 will be matched. There are only a few days left to take advantage of that offer!
