Rodarte is an extracurricular program that brings art classes to underprivileged children in San Miguel and some of the more isolated communities in the outskirts. For two years now, the Instituto Allende has been offering workshops like painting, weaving, and ceramics every Saturday in Fajardo de Bocas (21 km from here). The program has been so successful that the Instituto Allende is now considering expanding it to other communities. At Rodarte we believe that art is a means for reflection, transformation, and spiritual development, a way of reinventing the world, a celebration of life and liberty.
