The Joys of Singing
By Liz Stone
There are many joys in singing: you are part of a group; you hear and participate in making it; it has been proved to be good for you! In the often stressful time of the holidays, you can both hear wonderful singing and participate in it! The San Miguel Singers will present their annual holiday concert on Friday, December 9, at St. Paul’s Church. All are invited to this free concert. For the 14th year, the group will conclude the concert by singing “Silent Night,” first in the original German, then in Spanish to honor our host country, and then, with the audience, all together in whichever language you first learned the song! Along with the selection of holiday songs, there will be beautiful music by Randall Thompson and other selections by the San Miguel Handbell Choir.

To benefit Jóvenes Adelante
Fri, Dec 9, 5pm
St. Paul’s Church, Cardo 6
This year the concert will benefit Jóvenes Adelante, which supports scholars with scholarships all the way through college. We feel that the youth of this country is its future and that we are privileged to be able to contribute. A freewill offering will be taken.
The concert is at 5pm on December 9 and should last about one hour and a half, giving you plenty of time to attend your holiday parties. Please join us. If you are inspired by our joy in singing and would like to join us, please call director Liz Stone at 154 8239.
We rehearse weekly and welcome snowbirds as well as fulltime residents.
