Cultural, Artisan, and Commercial Presence of Oaxaca in San Miguel

By Guadalupe Meza

The Oaxaca exhibition can be viewed at Casa de Europa located in front of the San Francisco church, in downtown San Miguel de Allende. The magnificent hands of Oaxaca will gift us with the cultural richness of color and creativity we so enjoy with mezcal tasting, fruit liqueurs, and chapulines gastronomy, as well as displays of unique ceramic pieces, basketry, leather, wood, and other products. All this highlights the beauty of our native culture and its historical legacy, the authenticity of its traditions, and the integrity of Oaxaca’s eight regions: Cañada, Costa, Istmo, Cuenca of Papaloapan, Sierra Sur, Sierra Norte, Valles Centrales, and Mixteca culture.
