Don’t quote us on this, but we think that the expression “ball of fun” may have originated from the experience of bowling. But even if we’re making this up, you can expect an evening rolling in laughter, with prizes, food, and drink to add to the good time as 12 four-member teams take to the lanes to vie for the title of Audubon Champs for Children.
Haven’t been bowling for a hundred years? Never bowled before? No problem! Bowling skills are not necessary because our unique scoring formula includes a few curve-balls to level out the field, making it possible for any team to score big. And, to make things even more interesting, we’ll be playing a game within a game, which provides more opportunities for you to come out a champ. Bowling- or bird-inspired attire will be rewarded!
To register for the Bird Bowl, assemble your team of four, then e-mail Audubon at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know who is playing and your team name. Or sign up to join a team that is forming. After hearing from you, we’ll send a confirmation and more details.
Proceeds from this event support Audubon’s Niños y Naturaleza program. Now entering its third year, Niños y Naturaleza leads our local primary school children in discovering the wonders of nature and inspires them to become conscientious citizens and environmental stewards through experiences that encourage their empathy, curiosity, and imagination and empower them to make a difference in the world.
